I was on my way the following morning for the final part of my trip to Dubai where I stayed briefly along Khalid bin al Waleed Street in Bur Dubai. I had booked to go up the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and I am ashamed to say that my chronic problems with |
directions continued. No, not even I could miss this giant structure but I very wrongly assumed that I should go to the Burj Khalifa to check in. |
Wrong, check in is in the Dubai Mall and, by this time a little behind time, I was somewhat lucky to make it. It is best to pre-book as currently the price for just turning up is four times the pre-booked price. couldn’t find my way out of the Dubai Mall – there were lots of sign but none, understandably with so many shops, showing the exit – so, whoops, I was a little late getting over to The Address Hotel at Dubai Marina where my friend, Shailja Kalia, and I enjoyed a very pleasant meal before I returned for a short night.
Another memorable flight back on the Emirates A380 concluded another interesting trip and I won’t be back long before taking off for Romania over Easter. Maybe the winter finally is over... |
