The first-ever women's Test to be held at Lord's was emphatically won by India. Below are some highlights of the match.
Being the first women's Test on the ground, Yastika Bhatia became the first women to record a century whist team-mate and Player of the Match, Kranti Gaud, became the first to take five wickets in an innings.

• Smriti Mandhana became the fourth Indian lady to score fifties in both innings of the same Test. She joins Sandhaya Agarwal, Gargi Bannerji and current team-mate Shafali Verma.
• Amy Jones performed the same feat for England. Her performance is the eighteenth occasion for England and she is the thirteenth lady to do so.
• Jones is, however, the first wicket-keeper from any country to achieve the feat.
• Sophie Ecclestone became the third England lady to score a fifty and take eight or more wickets in a Test. She joins Enid Bakewell and Katherine Sciver-Brunt.
• Ecclestone's second-innings 50 is her maiden Test fifty and thereby highest Test score surpassing her 35 against South Africa at Taunton in 2022.
• Ecclestone became the sixth England lady to score a fifty and take five wickets in an innings during the same Test. The last lady to do so was Katherine Sciver-Brunt against Australia at Worcester in 2005.
• India's victory margin of 270 runs is the fourth largest by runs by any nation, the record being 347 runs by India, also against England, in Mumbai in 2023-24 in the last Test between the two teams.
• For the first time in their history and for the fifth occasion in Women's Test, India scored 275 or more in both innings of the same Test. Their highest match aggregate (640 for 6) against South Africa at Chennai in 2024 remains their highest.
• England's defeat is only the fifth (in 153 Tests) by a side inserting the opposition. The last such occasion was by Netherlands against South Africa at Rotterdam in 2007.
• India recorded six individual fifties in the match. This is their joint-best performance along with Blackpool in 1986, also against England. The record number by any team is seven by Australia (twice).
• For the first time in their Test history, England lost their first four wickets for fewer than 50 runs in both innings of the same Test.
• Yastika Bhatia became the second Indian wicket-keeper after Anju Jain and ninth in total to score a Test century.
• Both Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight retired from international cricket after the Test. Both finish their careers with impressive records: Beaumont with 614 Test runs and England's top score of 208 whilst her full international career yielded 7327 runs in 261 matches and 243 innings. Knight's Test career brought 989 runs whilst her full international career saw her score 8017 runs in 320 matches and 306 innings. Knight also captained England in nine Tests, winning one, losing three with five drawn. She also captained in 94 ODIs, winning 62 (including the 2017 World Cup final against India at Lord's), losing 29 whilst in T20 matches, her record is 96 matches, 72 wins and 23 defeats.
