England VS. West Indies Second Test Highlights, Trent Bridge
- Ollie Pope became the first England number 3 to score a century and fifty in the same Trent Bridge Test. Four England players at any position in the order have done so previously: Denis Compton in 1947; Sir Geoffrey Boycott in 1977; Graham Gooch in 1988 and Joe Root in 2021.
- The last occasion that a West Indian side had nine (or more) players in double figures in a Test innings outside West Indies was against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi in 2016-17.
- The partnership of 175 between Alick Athenaze and Karem Hodge is the fifth-highest for the fourth wicket for West Indies in England. The highest, also at Trent Bridge, is 283 between Frank Worrell and Everton Weekes in 1950.
- The partnership of 71 between Joshua da Silva and Shamar Joseph is the second-highest for the tenth wicket for West Indies against England behind only the 143 between Denesh Ramdin and Tino Best at Edgbaston in 2012.
- Da Silva's unbeaten 82 is the fifth-highest score by a West Indian wicket-keeper against England in England.
- The Test saw the seventh occasion of the first three match innings in the same Test passing 400. The last such occasion was between India and Sri Lanka at Ahmedabad in 2009-10.
- For their first time, England scored 400 in both innings of the same Test. This has happened on eleven previous occasions involving all countries, the last occasion being India against England at Rajkot in 2023-24. This is the first occasion of West Indies conceding 400 runs in both innings of the same Test.
- There were fourteen analyses of bowlers conceding 50 or more runs in an innings during the Test, the joint-most in any Test along with the West Indies and Australia Test of 1954-55 in Bridgetown.
- The last time that West Indies gained a lead after conceding 400 or more in the first match innings was against South Africa at Basseterre in 2010. Replying to South Africa's 543 for 6, West Indies made 546.
- The match aggregate of 1441 runs for 40 wickets is the fourth highest at Trent Bridge. The record is 1675 for 35 wickets between England and New Zealand in 2022.
- The Test saw 17 occasions of players not reaching double figures. Based on this number in Tests played in England, this is the fourth-highest number of runs scored where there have been seventeen scores of fewer than 10. The highest is 1576 runs at Lord's in 2004 between England and West Indies.
- For their seventeenth occasion and fourth against West Indies, England lost all of their wickets in one innings to catches.
- The partnership of 189 between Joe Root and Harry Brook in the second innings is England's highest for the fourth wicket at Trent Bridge surpassing the 184 between Tom Graveney and Peter Parfitt against Pakistan in 1962.
- Jason Holder followed Sir Garfield Sobers, Lokesh Rahul, Peter Parfitt and Graeme Hick in taking four catches as a fielder in an innings in a Trent Bridge Test.

- The Test saw only the fifth occasion when there were two partnerships of 175 or more in the same Test for the fourth wicket. The last occasion was between Australia and England at Adelaide in 2005-06 and the first between Australia and West Indies at Sydney in 1968-69.
- Excluding the abandoned Test at North Sound in 2008-09 between West Indies and England, the Trent Bridge Test saw the second-lowest proportion of maiden overs (7.60%) in a Test. The lowest is 5.22% at Galle in 2022 between Sri Lanka and Australia.
- Kavem Hodge (31 years 149 days) became the tenth-oldest maiden centurion for West Indies. Their record is held by George Carew (37 years 253 days) against England at Port-of-Spain in 1947-48.
- Hodge became the seventh West Indian player to record a duck in the same Test as their maiden Test century. Others who scored their maiden century in the first innings of the Test followed by the duck in the second innings are Ivan Barrow, Seymour Nurse, Charlie Davis and Keith Arthurton whilst Collis King and Gerry Alexander did so in the reverse order.
- The West Indian second innings collapse is the second worst at Trent Bridge by a side starting with an opening partnership of 50 or more. In 1955, South Africa reached 73-0 before being dismissed for 148, i.e. 75 runs. West Indies managed 82 runs in the recently-concluded Test.

Their overall highest losing total is 526 for 7 declared against England at Port-of-Spain in 1967-68 followed by 463 against India at Kolkata in 2011-12.
